During her impressive career, she has developed a deep understanding of the needs of the mortgage industry. Her company has helped tens of thousands of loan officers increase their business, driving the entire industry forward. When she started her career marketing in the mortgage and real estate markets was significantly different. It takes real leadership to develop software to meet the changing needs of mortgage lenders. It means workflow automation and easy connections to the tools lenders depend upon to find, process, and close more loans.

In the early years of Chris’ career as a loan processor, the mortgage industry was incredibly male-dominated. She was often the only woman in the room with senior executives. Chris’s vision for the industry, and for her own company, is to empower women leaders. As a female business owner, she employs a staff of over two-thirds women, many of whom she has personally mentored. She also contracts with other female-owned-and-operated businesses where applicable. Her mission is to grow and mentor the next generation of female leaders while continuing to lead by example and serve as a resource and inspiration to her staff and clients alike.

Chris is an award-winning female executive: Most Powerful Women in FinTech 2022, Women with Vision 2021 and 2022, MPA Elite Woman Award 2022, and a finalist for the MReport Women in Housing Award 2022.

Chris has a message to share with women who are willing to hear it: Be able to see the forest through the trees. Get to know your business, from the bottom to the top, but don’t get so bogged down in the details that you can’t see the bigger picture. Have your finger on the pulse of your business and your client’s needs, this will make you more innovative and more strategic, in both times of growth and struggle.

Genesis Gomez has established herself as a leader and philanthropist throughout the mortgage and modeling industries. Her career of 21-plus years has progressed from banking to mortgage and broker landing her as the leader of The Genesis Group powered by Model Lender, LLC. Genesis Gomez produces enviable mortgage numbers while fostering the education of the next generation of mortgage loan originators. Genesis has been military and veteran housing certified since 2021 and has won the Five Star Professional award for the year 2022. She served as the director of membership for the Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals (VAREP) Denver chapter in 2021 and 2022.

Genesis is known throughout the Colorado mortgage community as an educator. Genesis has built a strong team of mortgage originators both on her team and in Colorado. Outside of her influence in the mortgage industry, she is an active philanthropist serving children and unhoused people in the Colorado community. She is an accomplished runway and print model who was crowned Ultimate supermodel, runway model of the year, and most photogenic model of the year in 2021. In 2022 she won National Mrs. Supermodel.

She is currently building a model coaching program for women who want to break into the modeling industry or simply gain model confidence. Her vision is for it to encompass the entire person from physical appearance to health and wealth by bringing in her expertise and connections in the banking industry to provide opportunities to build their real estate portfolio, investment portfolio, or opportunities for a new career to take them as far as they would like to go. She is partnering with other strong influential women and men in the industry to help as many people as possible reach their fullest potential in a unique way. Combining fashion and finance is something that has provided Genesis with an incredible sense of fulfillment, and she wants to provide the same gift to others.

Kris believes everyone has the ability to make a difference in anything we choose to do with our lives. She demonstrates an innate ability to help, and perhaps push, others toward the same belief. The banking industry shifted exponentially in 2022, and Kris made it her goal to be relentless in pursuit of a better life and to help others be relentless in their pursuit. Kris brings Integrity, loyalty, and commitment to her role in the industry. She unarguably sets a standard for this across the entire banking industry.

Kris’s vision for the future of women in our industry is for women to always rise above the naysayers, to lean on each other, and to straighten each other's crowns without the world knowing it was ever crooked. Everyone’s journey and struggles will someday be someone's survival guide through their own journey.

When Vision Summit, 2022 Keynote speaker Les Brown spoke about keeping pace, his words resonated with Kris. She questioned herself, wondering, “Who am I walking with?” Her response was an eye-opening validation, "Mike Kortas! Which means no grass grows under my feet because we are always navigating and leveling up what we do at NEXA Mortgage, and for the entire industry”. Kris was given the Universe Award from 20/20 Vision for Success Coaching, reflecting an accomplishment near to her as she continues working to grow the largest training program in the industry from the ground up.
